• Made in Athens, Georgia: Built by KD Frames in our Athens, Georgia shop, where we have made bed frames since 1987, from solid, kiln-dried Tulip Poplar grown in Virginia.
• No Center Legs, No Box Spring: Solid Tulip Poplar side rails carry slats spaced 2.8 inches apart, so the mattress sits right on the slats with nothing in the way underneath. Rated to 600 lbs.
• Real Under-bed Space: At 15 inches tall, the frame leaves 11.75 inches of usable clearance under the side rails, enough for storage bins, our rolling drawers, or a KD Frames twin trundle with a mattress up to 7.5 inches thick (sold separately).
• Unfinished Solid Poplar, Nothing Added: Every piece is solid Tulip Poplar, with no plywood, MDF or particleboard and no glue anywhere in the frame. It ships sanded smooth and bare, with no stain, paint, varnish or sealer, so you can keep it natural or finish it yourself.
• Built to Be Moved: Rails attach with bolts that thread into cross dowels instead of screwing into the wood, so the frame stays tight through repeated moves. Hex wrench included. 5-year warranty against defects.
